Our Aims

Foster and promote meaningful friendships

The primary aim of MLM is to create an environment that facilitates the development of strong, lasting friendships among its members. The club will provide opportunities for individuals to connect, socialize, and build meaningful relationships.

Create a supportive and inclusive Group

MLM aims to establish a welcoming and inclusive Group where individuals feel supported, valued, and accepted. It will encourage members to share their experiences, offer support to one another, and create a safe space for open communication.

Promote social engagement and well-being

MLM aims to enhance the social well-being of its members by organizing various activities and events that promote social engagement, personal growth, and overall happiness. These activities may include outings, group discussions, workshops, and other social gatherings.

Encourage personal development and lifelong learning

MLM seeks to provide opportunities for personal growth and lifelong learning. It will organize educational programs, workshops, and seminars to help members develop new skills, explore interests, and broaden their horizons.

Foster a sense of belonging and reduce social isolation

MLM aims to combat social isolation and loneliness by providing a sense of belonging to its members. Through regular interactions and activities, the club will strive to create a supportive network that helps individuals overcome feelings of isolation and build a stronger sense of Group.

 
HISTORY

MLM TIMELINE

  • 08.02.2021MLM is Born

    The group, first known as “Like Minds”was created on February 8, 2021. The inspiration behind setting up the group was the desire to create an atmosphere where friends and people of like Minds can come together and promote genuine friendship.

  • 01.05.2021Name Change

    The name of the group was changed to “Matured Like Minds” with the aim of restrategising and reorganising the group

  • 05.02.20221st Anniversary

    ⁠⁠Visit to Destined Children’s Orphanage Home Kado Estate, Abuja on February 5, 2022 with food stuff and gift items for the children as part of activities to commemorate MLM’s one year anniversary.

  • 11.02.20232nd Anniversary

    Visited Treasure Home Orphanage Karu Abuja on February 11, 2023 and donated food, clothing, toiletries as part of activities to celebrate MLM’s second anniversary.

  • 10.02.20243rd Anniversary

    aid a visit to Karshi general hospital in the outskirts of Abuja on February 10, 2024 to donate wheelchairs and other medical supplies to commemorate MLM’s third anniversary celebrations.

  • 14.12.2024Christmas Party

    Successfully hosted Children at the Internally Displaced Peoples Camp Durumi Abuja to a Christmas party on December 14, 2024.
